The railway will have a length of 725 kilometers and a maximum speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The project is a joint venture between Thailand and China, and is expected to be completed in 2028.
- The construction of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) high-speed rail network, which will connect the EEC with major cities in Thailand and neighboring countries. The network will consist of three lines: the EEC-China line, which will link Bangkok with Kunming in China; the EEC-Laos line, which will link Bangkok with Vientiane in Laos; and the EEC-Malaysia line, which will link Bangkok with Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. The network will have a total length of 1,435 kilometers and a maximum speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The project is expected to be completed in 2030, and will boost the development and integration of the EEC, which is a special economic zone that covers the provinces of Chachoengsao, Chonburi, and Rayong.
